December Favourites 2015

Hello Everyone!!!

It's coming to the end of December so I thought I would tell you about some of the things I've been loving this month. It's going to be a very festive list!!!

So the first thing I've been loving is.....

Christmas Candles

Image from Google

Specifically Red Apple Wreath by Yankee Candle. I usually have a favourite Christmas Candle every year and this is definitely my favourite of this year :)

The second thing I've been loving this month is.....

Wrapping Presents

Image from Google

I don't usually like doing this as I get bored of it really easily, but this year I've quite enjoyed just putting on some Christmas music, lighting a Christmas Candle and wrapping my presents. I have to say mine didn't look as neat as the ones in the picture above but I did however decorate them all with pretty ribbon that everybody seemed to like when I gave them their presents :)

The fourth thing I've been loving is.....

Christmas Films

Image from Google

I absolutely love Christmas films. I do try to sneak them in more than just at Christmas time as I love them so much. But there is nothing better than putting a Christmas film on when you're not quite feeling in the Christmas spirit. By the end of the film I'm sure you'll feel much more festive and ready for Christmas :)

And the fifth thing I've been loving this month is.....

Christmas With Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher

I've read this before and I absolutely love it so I had to read it again this year. This is the novella to Giovanna Fletcher's debut novel Billy and Me. I read that a couple of years ago and loved it so much so then read the Christmas novella and it is the second time I've read it now and I will carry on reading it every Christmas I hope :) I gave it 5* on Goodreads.

So that is it for my list of December Favourites. Do you have any similar favourites? Leave them in the comments below and I'll be sure to check them out :)

Speak to you all again on Sunday!!!

Christmas Traditions

Image from Google

Hello Everyone!!!

Sorry I've not posted in a couple of weeks. I've just been super busy with Christmas and working and more Christmas!!! So as it is coming to the end of the festive month I thought I would tell you about some of the Christmas traditions myself and my family have and see whether you have any the same.

So the first tradition we have is.....

1. Putting the Christmas Tree up around 10 days before Christmas.

Now I know a lot of people would put their Christmas Tree and decorations up way before then, but as children, me and my sister did a lot of pantomimes and other performances and so there was always a specific weekend we had that was free of shows and rehearsals, so that became the time we would put our tree up, and it was always around 10 days before Christmas. And it's something that we still do now even though we don't do a lot of performances any more as my sister is now at university and I'm working (within the dance industry, just not performing).

The second tradition we have is.....

2. Putting out all of the presents on Christmas Eve.

This is something a lot of people do, however, even though my sister is 18, she still doesn't like to see the presents before Christmas Day, so it's down to myself and my dad to put the presents out when she has gone to her room.

The third tradition is.....

3. Having a very structured Christmas Day.

This involves waking up at around 8am and going into my dad's room with my sister and our stockings. We open all of our stocking presents in there and then go downstairs to make cups of tea before opening the presents under the tree. Once the presents under the tree are unwrapped, we get ready for the day where it carries on usually at my auntie and uncles for Christmas dinner and games also with my grandparents. After that me and me sister go to my mam's where we open the presents we got off her and give her her presents. Finally me, my sister and my dad go to my other set of grandparents house where we just have a chill and see what they have been up to on their Christmas Day. After that it is finally time to go home and chill for the night with T.V and films, of course accompanied by Christmassy snacks!!!

The fourth tradition we have is.....

4. Christmas Pyjamas

Me and my sister always receive new pyjamas off my mam for Christmas. Now I know that a lot of people get their pyjamas on Christmas Eve which I think is a lovely tradition to do so you can wake up in new pyjamas on Christmas morning, but this is something we have never done for some reason so we receive our Christmas pyjamas on Christmas Day like everything else.

And finally the fifth tradition we have is.....

5. Boxing Day Chill Day

Boxing Day is the day we pig out on the chocolates and sweets we have been given on Christmas Day and watch Christmas T.V and films, and play board games (usually new ones we have received that Christmas). However I would love to do the Boxing Day dip one year. This is where lots of people go down to the beach and run into the sea all at the same time to raise money for various charities. And no I don't live in a hot climate where the sea is nice and warm, I live in the UK and the North sea is freezing even on the one hotter day we get in the summer.

So there are my Christmas traditions. Let me know in the comments below some of you Christmas traditions and lets see if we have any similar ones.

I'm hoping to post again mid week this week and then a one next Sunday as normal as I've missed a couple of weeks so you can look forward to that and I'll speak to you all very soon!!!

Graduation

Image from Google

Hello Everyone!!!

A couple of weeks ago it was my graduation from University. I finished University at the beginning of June this year but the Graduation wasn't until November. I studied BA (Hons) Dance Practice for any of you that don't know. So today I thought that I would share with you some of the photos I got while there. Enjoy!!!

It was a really lovely day and the weather stayed nice for us which was a bonus. After the ceremony we all went back to where we began the day and had some buffet food and chilled with everyone.

Although I enjoyed University and I'm glad I did it, I definitely think I'm ready to move on with my life and make this chapter I've started even better. It was lovely to hear some encouraging words off people while I was at graduation and that has made me even more motivated to build myself a successful career somewhere in the dance industry.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and I will speak to you all next Sunday :)

November 2015 Favourites

Hello Everyone!!!

Sorry there wasn't a post yesterday, I've literally never stopped!!! But here is the post a little late. It's time for my November Favourites!!!

Favourite Book

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as it was roughly based off Beauty and the Beast which is my favourite film. When Feyre the huntress shoots a wolf, not realising it's actually a faerie, she finds herself in a lot of trouble very quickly and is taken to the fae world leaving behind her struggling family. I loved this book and gave it 4* on Goodreads.

Favourite Event

Michael McIntyre Tour

Image from Google

I went to see this on Friday night and it was hilarious!!! Michael McIntyre is one of my favourite comedians so to see him live finally was fantastic :)

Favourite Craft

Gingerbread Men Reindeers

I don't know whether I've mentioned this before but I'm a Rainbow leader and tonight we made Gingerbread Men Reindeer. This is just a gingerbread man upside down and decorated like a reindeer. I got this idea from Pinterest and is a fabulous activity for younger ones as well as us adults that are still slightly children ;p

And I think that's it for now so I will speak to you all next Sunday!!!

Let me know in the comments below what you've been loving this month and I'll be sure to read and comment :)

Tradition

Image from Google

Hello Everyone!!!

So, a couple of things happened this week that got me thinking. The first thing was I received a card and Disney vouchers off my friend and the card was just so lovely to read as I haven't seen her in a while as she doesn't live close by. The second thing that happened is an old friend of mine from when I was very young began speaking to me again over Facebook. She lives on the other side of the world from me so I haven't seen her since we were very young but it was so nice speaking to her again and we have decided that we are going to start writing letters to each other as we both love a bit of tradition.

So, this got me thinking about tradition and modern day. Of course technology is a fantastic thing (most of the time), but you can't beat a bit of tradition. Of course me and my friend began speaking again over Facebook so technology was a major part in that, but now that we have decided to write letters to each other I just can't wait!!!

I love writing even though I'm not that great at it and there is nothing better than receiving a hand written letter through the post.

Now when it comes to modern day, obviously technology plays a huge part in our lives. My boyfriend for example couldn't do his artwork without technology as he specifies in an area which requires a computer and a whole lot of software. I rely on technology when it comes to deciding on music for a dance piece or if I decide I want footage in my performance then technology plays a major part there.

So really, the question is could we live without technology in this generation? Probably not. But how many of you out there are like me and love a good bit of tradition? Letter writing, actual books not kindles/e-readers etc. I definitely think I would cope a lot better than some people if the world was to go back to how it was before all of this technology was created. But there would still be parts of my life that wouldn't be able to happen. Like what I'm doing now for example. I couldn't sit and write a blog post that's for sure. And I couldn't waste the day away by watching YouTube.

But there's just something about tradition I love and I never want it to fade. I think I'll always be a one to love tradition more than modern day, but of course the things we have today help us so much in everyday life. It's a difficult decision to pick between tradition and modern day if I had to as I love tradition so much so instead I'm just going to carry on doing both!!!

So, where do you stand in this topic? Do you love a good written letter like me? Do you love modern day technology and the experiences it gives you? Let me know down in the comments and I'll be sure to comment back.

Speak to you all next Sunday!!!

Busted Are Back!!!

Image from Google

Hello Everyone!!!

Yes!!! That's right!!! Busted are back!!! And unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last week then you all already know this piece of information.

Busted were a huge part of my childhood during the time they were around and it broke my heart the day they announced they were splitting. I remember them sitting behind that long desk and Charlie announcing he was leaving the band... Yes, I'm one of those fangirls that gets way too emotional by any kind of information about my favourite bands. So now that they are back together, of course I had to get tickets to their tour next year!!! I will just mention now that if you are looking for tickets, then don't buy off any of these sites that charge ridiculous amounts of money. In my eyes, they shouldn't be able to sell tickets at all.

So anyway, Busted are back and they are touring next year with not only their old classics that we all know and love, but I'm pretty sure that they have a few new songs up their sleeves as well!!! I'm super excited about this as I would love to see if/how their sound has changed.

But with all of this Busted news, questions about another band have since been posted all over the internet. Now of course over the last couple of years we've had the supergroup McBusted, consisting of James Bourne and Matt Willis from Busted, and Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter, and Harry Judd from McFly. So naturally, the question on everybody's mind now is, now that Busted are back, does that mean we also get McFly back?

Not only do I love Busted, I love McBusted, and I love McFly, so of course now that Busted are back together, I would love to see McFly back as well. But remember, McFly never split; they never went anywhere!!! If we give them a bit of time to work out exactly what they are doing then the music they produce will surely be even better!!! Rather than rushing them and getting a half hearted album 6. Just remember how long we have been waiting for album 6. We want it to be good!!!

McFly will announce in their own time what their plans are for the future, we just need to be a bit more patient. Which I know for some fangirls/boys, can be a challenge!!!

So now it's your turn. What do you think about the Busted reunion? Are you going to the tour next year? Do you want to see more of McFly? Maybe more of McBusted? Let me know in the comments below and I'll be sure to read them all and comment back.

For this week that is it and I'll speak to you all next Sunday!!!

20 Things In My Bedroom

Image from Google

Hello Everyone!!!

I thought it would be super fun to show you 20 things I have in my bedroom. I have a lot of things in my bedroom, some of them slightly strange, so I thought I would share them with you today!!! Feel free to leave 20 things you have in your bedroom in the comments below :)

1. A Coffee Smelling Candle

My mam got me this from Germany a few years ago but I just can't get myself to start burning it as it's just too awesome!!!

2. Lizard Tea Light Holder

My mam also got me this but from Ibiza when she went earlier on this year. You'll see more lizard related stuff in a second...

3. Quote Bookmark

As you have probably gathered from my monthly favourites videos, I love to read and this bookmark is just so lovely so I just had to have it :)

4. Lizard Collection

I love lizards. I just find them fascinating!!!

5. Pretty Awesome Doc Martins

I have two pairs of Doc Martins. I have a red pair which I wear loads, and then I have this pair which I do wear but when the weather is bad like it is at the minute, I don't tend to wear them as they are mostly white and would get ruined.

6. Butterfly Quote Hanging

I got this the same time as I got the quote bookmark above. I love looking at quotes as it just makes me feel happy and positive :)

7. Shot Glass Collection

Ok, so this might make me look like I have a drinking problem. I definitely don't. I just love collecting shot glasses. They literally never get used; they are just for decoration really :)

8. Medals

I have medals here from Cheerleading, The Race for Life, and The Colour Obstacle Rush. I love being involved in things like these as it keeps me fit and I always feel really refreshed after exercise.

9. Anchor

I don't know whether you noticed before on the picture of my Doc Martins, but there are anchors on them. Yip, another slight obsession I have.....I actually have an anchor tattoo on the inside of my ankle with a little bow around it too.

10. Beauty and the Beast Drawings

No I did not draw any of these. I'm terrible at drawing. Bell was drawn by my little sister and the Beast was drawn by my boyfriend on Photoshop.

11. The Elder Wand

If you read my posts regularly then you will know I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. I also have two Timeturners, two Marauders Maps, a Chocolate Frog (well the packaging from it anyway), a Rowena Ravenclaw Card from the Chocolate Frog, a badge, a poster, a certificate for buying The Deathly Hallows on the release date, a 9 3/4 Ticket, a Hogwarts Acceptance Letter, and of course the books and films. I think that's everything!!!

12. A Hockey Stick

I used to play a lot of hockey back when I was in school and I also played for my town team for a while as well. I loved hockey and miss it as I haven't played it in so long. I played in defence mostly but also enjoyed playing on the wing. I have my old hockey stick in my room still as well but it is way to small for me now. I found out the hard way. I couldn't walk for about a week after playing an all day tournament!!!

13. Quotes Poster

Oh more quotes!!! They just make me smile :)

14. Beauty and the Beast Limited Edition Dolls

My pride and joy..... :p (along with my first ever tap shoes).

15. Anchor Canvas

Oh and another anchor!!! My sister actually made this for me and gave it as a Christmas present last year. I love it!!!

16. Pointe Shoes

I haven't done pointe work in a few years but I'm trying to get myself back into it now I've finished University :)

17. Michael Jackson Canvas

My boyfriend bought me this last year. I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan and this just looks stunning on my wall :)

18. Christmas Candle Holder

I bought this just the other day along with a few other Christmas Candle Holders and I just love it!!!

19. Cath Kidston Teapot

I love teapots. I have a Minnie Mouse one and a little blue one as well. They are just adorable!!! (Spot the anchor mug ;p)

20. Steam Punk Pocket Watch

I got this from Comic Con London last year. I love Steam Punk fashion and I've always wanted a pocket watch so this was just perfect.

So that is it!!! As you can see I have a few obsessions but we all do right? I hope you've enjoyed having a little insight into some of the items in my room and I will speak to you all next Sunday!!!

This is pretty much the only candle I have been burning this month and it just gives off a really fresh, clean smell.

Favourite Bath Product

Luxury Bath Float by Sanctuary

Image from sanctuary.com

I've been using this in my bath pretty much all of this month and I love it. I can't use a lot of bubble bath as it irritates my skin but I've loved using this product.

Favourite Halloween Related Product

Pumpkin Tea Light Holders: The Range

I was looking for pumpkin tea light holders for ages so when I seen these in The Range I just had to pick them up. When the tea light is lit the pumpkin and the hat just look amazing!!!

Halloween Ideas

Image from Google

Hello Everyone!!!

Sorry for the lack of post week. I was travelling and didn't get the chance to write a post. Today I thought I would give you some ideas for Halloween, whether that be decorations, costumes, food etc. I haven't actually got prepared for Halloween yet but I'm so excited to get dressed up!!!

So as I have just mentioned getting dressed up, I might as well go onto costume ideas!!! There are so many things you can dress up as, sometimes you just don't know where to start. For me personally, I think about what I love about Halloween and for instance this year, I have decided one of my favourite things about Halloween is the pumpkins. So.....I'm dressing up in my pumpkin dress!!!

This is a picture of me a few years ago wearing this dress.

I just thought this was super cute and have decided to wear it again this year :) I got this from ebay but unfortunately I can't seem to find it now.

Maybe though you want to be a pumpkin but not be in a dress. Well you'll be pleased to know that you can get adult pumpkin costumes in other variations just like the ones below!!!

There are obviously so many other things you can be as well of course such as...

A Skeleton

Or what about a Vampire

But one of the best things for me is seeing the children dressed up. They always look so adorable!!! If you have a child of your own or if you know someone that does, then here are some child costume ideas :)

Image from Ebay

How cute!!! Of course costumes aren't the only thing you could organise for Halloween though, what about decorations!!!

Here are some images of inspiration I have found :)

Image from Google

I'm sure these would be super easy to make as all you would need is some glass jars, tea lights or LED lights, and some spooky Halloween stickers :)

Image from Google

Again I think these would also be super easy to make as all it is is a pumpkin tea light holder, a tea light, and some pipe cleaners!!!

Image from Google

And I just love how this fire place has been decorated!!! It has everything you really need to make your house ready for Halloween!!!

Now onto Halloween Treats!!!

Image from Google

I'm sure you'll all agree that these look delicious!!! You could also involve your children in the making and decorating of these. They are fantastic for if you are having a house party or even if you are just having a spooky Halloween film night!!! Everyone needs snacks when they are watching a film!!!

Which brings me on to my next Halloween idea. Films!!! These are just a couple of films that I love and are great for the whole family :)

One of my favourite, if not my favourite film to watch on Halloween is Hocus Pocus. If you've not seen this film then where have you been?!?!? It is a Disney film and is super funny and entertaining. The kids will also love it so it's a great one for the whole family :)

Image from Google

Another Disney film I love to watch at Halloween is not necessarily a Halloween film, well it kind of is, but it's also great around Christmas time as well. And that film is The Nightmare Before Christmas. Another one for the whole family!!!

Image from Google

And now onto my final Halloween idea, which is something I do all year round, but is made Halloweeny at this time of year, and that is.....burning candles!!!

Yankee Candle always bring out candles at different times of the year to suit the season. And here are a few they have brought out this year for Halloween.

Image from Google

This is definitely my favourite of the range.

So there you have it!!! My Halloween ideas for you :) I hope you've enjoyed reading about my favourite things about Halloween and feel free to share some of your Halloween ideas/pictures below. It would be great to see how you are all preparing for Halloween as well :)

That is all for now; have a fabulous Halloween and I will speak to you all next Sunday!!!
