Top 10 Disney Films

Image from Google

Hello you lovely lot!!!

Now by now I'm sure you all know that I'm obsessed with Disney. I just can't get enough of it!!! So today I thought I would do a countdown of my top 10 Disney films. This was so difficult to do!!! Some of these films I love just as much as some of the others but this is a rough order. I also think I've missed off some obvious ones that I love but here is my list for now.....

10. The Princess and the Frog

Image from Google

I think this is one of the most underrated Disney films out there. I love this film and it doesn't seem to get much credit. Lewis the crocodile is hilarious!!! And the whole plot is just fantastic.

9. The Lion King

Image from Google
Who doesn't love The Lion King. It's a classic!!! If you haven't seen it, have you been living in a hole all your life?!?!?

8. Ratatouille

Image from Google

This is one of my two favourite Pixar films. Most people would say Toy Story but neither of my two favourites are that. My second one will be mentioned soon!!! Ratatouille makes you feel every emotion going. There are some characters you will fall in love with and there are other's that you want to hit in the face with a shovel. This film has it all. A definite much watch!!!

7. The Parent Trap

Image from Google

This is one of the funniest Disney films in my opinion. I also love the original film starring Hayley Mills. Both of these films will have you crying with laughter. The twins are amazing. And the way in which the story takes you through the separate lives of the twins and then brings them together is just so heart warming. Favourite bit of the filming has to be the camping trip. Has me in hysterics every time.

6. Tangled

Image from Google

Who doesn't love Tangled!!! Rapunzel really reminds me of myself. A bit dippy, a bit clumsy, and wants nothing more than to see some pretty lanterns filling up the sky (I really want those lanterns at my wedding.....). As well as Rapunzel there is also Flynn Ryder, a good character yes, but one who gets himself into trouble.....a lot. He's known for stealing and is on many Wanted posters around the land. And then there are Maximus and Pascal. The two side kicks. Two of the funniest animals in any Disney film.

5. Brave

Image from Google

So here is my other favourite Pixar film. I like how the princess in this film isn't your stereotypical princess. Actually she doesn't want to be a princess at all, and she certainly doesn't want to get married. She's more interested in adventure and finding out what her fate is.

4. Mary Poppins

Image from Google

This is one of my all time favourite childhood films. I know all of the words to pretty much every song and could probably recite most of the film as well. It's so magical when they go into the painting. The amount of times I tried to jump into my drawing when I was younger.....oh the disappointment when I was still in my bedroom after jumping on them.

3. Mulan

Image from Google

I actually only seen this film a couple of years ago but instantly fell in love with it. Mushu is the funniest sidekick of any film I've ever seen. I really want Mushu in my life. Mulan is such a bad ass character and what she does for her family, even though it isn't allowed, is so honourable. If you've not seen Mulan definitely give it a watch. You won't be disappointed!!!

2.Peter Pan

Image from Google

My second favourite Disney film has to be Peter Pan. The whole concept of Neverland is just amazing. I think every kid wants to go to Neverland. I know I definitely did and still want to now. The theory of never having to grow up sounds like the most amazing idea ever!!! Second Star to the right and straight on til morning!!!

1.Beauty and the Beast

Image from Google

I can't express my love for this film enough. It has always been my favourite Disney film and it makes me cry every time I watch it.....which is a lot..... I love Chip, he is one of my favourite Disney characters, and I love the Beast. What I didn't so much like is when the Beast turns back into Prince Adam. I preferred him as the Beast. But even so, the ballroom scene, the characters, the gold dress, the songs, and of course.....the library, make this film the most magical film of all time for me. If I don't get a Beauty and the Beast library, I won't be happy!!! Ok I need to earn enough money to get a place big enough first.....hmm.....

So there we have it!!! How many of these are on your favourites list? Are there any that aren't on my list that are on yours? Leave you favourites list in the comments below :)

A Letter To My Teenage Self

Image from Google

Hello You Lovely Lot!!!

First of all apologies for not posting yesterday. I don't even have an excuse, I just forgot after the busy week I had.

All of you that are past the teenage years have probably got some things to say to your teenage self so I thought I would write out a letter to my teenage self. I thought it was a good time now as I'm so close to finishing uni and going into the adult world is going to be a new chapter in my life. It's a long letter so get a cup of tea, a snack and get comfortable. Enjoy!!!

Dear Teenage Hannah

I know that going through the teenage years can be a scary process; you're being made to start acting like an adult, your body is changing, and every emotion possible can happen all in one day. But not all is rubbish I promise you, and if you try to make a positive out of all the negatives you'll pull through and your day will seem much happier.

In high school you were a bit of a nightmare. Not completely I know; you did your work and you got good enough grades, but you were also a cheeky little madam and I can tell you that being like that won't get you very far in life. And as for you being one of the most opinionated people I know, calm down!!! Opinions are opinions, not facts, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if you don't agree.

To this day I still love a lot of your friends you made in high school and some of these I know will be friends for life so you did something right. You never got involved in nasty things like drugs, or even just straight forward smoking, I'll let you know that you still haven't tried any drugs and you don't smoke now and you have no intention to start doing either of these. I congratulate you in not getting into anything like that. You did the right thing there :)

In 6th form you still had your original group of friends, although some of them went off to college instead of 6th form but your still in contact with them now. I know your A Level grades aren't great but don't worry, they aren't everything, and you did get to go to university studying BA (Hons) Dance Practice. It was tiring but you got the end of that process without too many issues as well.

And now I'm going to have a serious words with you, 18 year old Hannah. What happened to the good student you were in 6th form? I know what happened. You turned 18 and thought alcohol was everything. Well let me tell you that it's not. Unfortunately your health is not so great now but you deal with it. And it's not bad everyday so not all is rubbish. But lets get back to alcohol and your nights out with your friends. Nights out aren't a competition as to how drunk you can get in the shortest amount of time. You'll also regret it the next morning, but even then your still convinced your going to do it all again next weekend/Thursday for Thursbay. I can't promise that your health will be any better at the age of 20, but maybe it would have been if you hadn't drank as much. Remember your only little as well. Much smaller than most of your other friends so don't try to match how much they're drinking, you'll just end up on the floor probably covered in spilt drink and that's not a good look.

Although I've given you a bit of a rant, I'm not saying don't have fun. Have fun, but you should look after yourself much more than you have been doing. Anyway you're out of the alcohol stage now and you feel much better for it. Actually you hardly drink at all. The odd drink every now and again but that's enough for 20 year old Hannah. You're much more interested in looking after your body and you know that you'll be in pain the next day with your IBS if you do drink, so what's the point really. You much prefer waking up in the morning feeling great for the day ahead. I will tell you as well as IBS you are also coeliac so enjoy all the food you can eat now as half way through your first year of university, your diet is going to change quiet rapidly. It's not too bad though I promise, you'll just have the biggest craving for bread as gluten free bread is horrible.

I know that during 6th form you also went through a horrible time at home so maybe nights out were a way to forget about what was going on at home. I can understand that but your seafront walks will keep you feeling happier for longer so maybe you should be doing more of them and less drinking. Home things did settle down though, and you're much happier with the way things are now so just wait it out. And don't use drink as an escapism.

Anyway I'll stop ranting at you now as I know that you have changed your life for the better and you've also met a very lovely Mr that will look after you when you're having a poorly day. He's a little gem and you appreciate everything he does for you. He's an expensive bugger as he's a gamer and apparently games cost a lot more now than they used to, but he also funds some of your book buying habit so it's all good :)

So for now all I can say is behave, don't think that bad grades are the end of everything, and stop worrying about every little thing. You could also do with putting yourself first a bit more, but you could also do a bit more of that at age 20 as well. You've not really got the hang of that yet.

For now I'll leave you be and not rant any more. You turn out fine in the end anyway :)

Lots of Love From

20 Year Old Hannah x

I hope you enjoyed reading that and if you're going through your teenage years then maybe that has helped you in some way. Let me know if anything I have said sounds like teenage you.

Speak to you all next Sunday.

Harry Potter Tag

Image from Google

Hello You Lovely Lot!!!

So today I thought I would do the Harry Potter Tag as I love Harry Potter and somehow I haven't done it before now!!!

So here we go!!!
1. Favourite book?
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. It opened the world to the public and it's where the magic began. I really want to re read the books this year as it's been a while since I read them.

2. Favourite Movie?
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I love the Triwizard Tournament and the Yule Ball. It was such a good element and the Triwizard Tournament is the first time Voldermort returns to his full self and not living of another.

3. Least Favourite Book?

Probably Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I do still really enjoy this part of the story, but I had to choose one which I think would be this. I do really like Sirius Black and Buckbeak in this though. Fantastic introductions to those characters.

4. Parts of the books/movies that made you cry?
Literally every character than died apart from Voldermort. I loved Dobby, I loved Snape, it was heartbreaking when the Weasley twins got split. Obviously Dumbledore's death was horrible, and even Belatrix. I loved Belatrix even though she was a bad character. I really love Helena Bonham Carter and she played Belatrix so well. I could imagine any other person playing her.

5. If you could hook up with any HP character who would it be?

Well if this means go out with, then it would actually be Draco Malfoy. I don't care that he is a bad character, in the later films he's beautiful!!! If I was to spend a day with a character it would be Luna Lovegood. She reminds me of myself really.

6. Favourite Character?

This is quite a difficult question as there are so many fabulous characters but I think it would be Luna Lovegood. She's so different and that really made her stand out to me.

7. What would your Patronus be?

Hmm...probably something really normal, like a cat or something like that...ooo maybe a lion!!! My hair is like a lions mane, that work's right?

8. If you could have the Resurrection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or the Elder Wand, which one would you choose?

Well I actually have the Elder Wand, just putting that one out there ;p But I think I would like the Invisibility Cloak. It would come in useful if you were somewhere you didn't want to be. Cloak on and away you go!!!

9. What House would you be in?

Ravenclaw. They seem a bit of a mysterious House and I like that I would be in the same House as Luna. I just really like Ravenclaw :)

10. If you could meet any member of the cast who would it be?

Alan Rickman (Severus Snape). I love Alan Rickman not just as Snape. He is a fabulous actor. I cried so much when Snape died. Why did you have to do that Rowling!!!

11. Have you played any of the video games?

Yip :) I have Harry Potter Quidditch on the Playstation 2, woohoo!!! :D

12. If you were on the Quidditch Team which position would you play?

Definitely not Keeper, too much pressure, and I can't see myself being that fast so probably not a Seeker either. A Beater maybe? I was called the smallest most violent defender on the Hockey team so I think a Beater would suit me right? :p

13. Were you happy with the ending?

Definitely. It summed up the full 10 years perfectly. I would have loved to have seem a relationship build fully between Luna and Neville though. And obviously there were some characters that I wish didn't die.

14. How much does Harry Potter mean to you?

I have no words really. It was my childhood growing up and it will always hold a special place in my heart <3

So there we have it!!! I tag YOU!!! Yes you that's reading this :) Post your answers in the comments below to see whether we have any answers the same and to have a nosy at the answers that are different :)

April 2015 Favourites

Hello You Lovely Lot!!!

It's time for my April Favourites!!! Unfortunately this month their aren't many favourites but I thought I'd share the couple I have anyway :)

My first favourite of the month is a book and this is Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.

This is the 2nd book in The Hunger Games Trilogy and I absolutely loved it!!! I did enjoy all of the trilogy but this was my favourite book. Click here to read my full review on this book :)

And my other favourite of this month is handing in dissertation!!! I'm so happy!!!

This was such a long process so to eventually hand this in was so good!!! I'm getting to the end of my degree now with only a performance and 1 essay to do and I can't wait to finally finish!!! Although it is a scary thought going into the unknown after education. (Maybe I'll do a post on that sometime soon) :) To check out what my dissertation was about and my process then click here to read all about that.

So unfortunately they are all my favourites for April but it's really because I've had no time on my hands to do anything other than uni work and a bit of reading. Hopefully next months favourites will be better but May is going to be a crazy month so no promises!!!

Speak to you all next Sunday!!!
