December Favourites 2015

Hello Everyone!!!

It's coming to the end of December so I thought I would tell you about some of the things I've been loving this month. It's going to be a very festive list!!!

So the first thing I've been loving is.....

Christmas Candles

Specifically Red Apple Wreath by Yankee Candle. I usually have a favourite Christmas Candle every year and this is definitely my favourite of this year :)

The second thing I've been loving this month is.....

Wrapping Presents

I don't usually like doing this as I get bored of it really easily, but this year I've quite enjoyed just putting on some Christmas music, lighting a Christmas Candle and wrapping my presents. I have to say mine didn't look as neat as the ones in the picture above but I did however decorate them all with pretty ribbon that everybody seemed to like when I gave them their presents :)

The fourth thing I've been loving is.....

Christmas Films

I absolutely love Christmas films. I do try to sneak them in more than just at Christmas time as I love them so much. But there is nothing better than putting a Christmas film on when you're not quite feeling in the Christmas spirit. By the end of the film I'm sure you'll feel much more festive and ready for Christmas :)

And the fifth thing I've been loving this month is.....

Christmas With Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher

I've read this before and I absolutely love it so I had to read it again this year. This is the novella to Giovanna Fletcher's debut novel Billy and Me. I read that a couple of years ago and loved it so much so then read the Christmas novella and it is the second time I've read it now and I will carry on reading it every Christmas I hope :) I gave it 5* on Goodreads.

So that is it for my list of December Favourites. Do you have any similar favourites? Leave them in the comments below and I'll be sure to check them out :)

Speak to you all again on Sunday!!!

Christmas Traditions

Image from Google

Hello Everyone!!!

Sorry I've not posted in a couple of weeks. I've just been super busy with Christmas and working and more Christmas!!! So as it is coming to the end of the festive month I thought I would tell you about some of the Christmas traditions myself and my family have and see whether you have any the same.

So the first tradition we have is.....

1. Putting the Christmas Tree up around 10 days before Christmas.

Now I know a lot of people would put their Christmas Tree and decorations up way before then, but as children, me and my sister did a lot of pantomimes and other performances and so there was always a specific weekend we had that was free of shows and rehearsals, so that became the time we would put our tree up, and it was always around 10 days before Christmas. And it's something that we still do now even though we don't do a lot of performances any more as my sister is now at university and I'm working (within the dance industry, just not performing).

The second tradition we have is.....

2. Putting out all of the presents on Christmas Eve.

This is something a lot of people do, however, even though my sister is 18, she still doesn't like to see the presents before Christmas Day, so it's down to myself and my dad to put the presents out when she has gone to her room.

The third tradition is.....

3. Having a very structured Christmas Day.

This involves waking up at around 8am and going into my dad's room with my sister and our stockings. We open all of our stocking presents in there and then go downstairs to make cups of tea before opening the presents under the tree. Once the presents under the tree are unwrapped, we get ready for the day where it carries on usually at my auntie and uncles for Christmas dinner and games also with my grandparents. After that me and me sister go to my mam's where we open the presents we got off her and give her her presents. Finally me, my sister and my dad go to my other set of grandparents house where we just have a chill and see what they have been up to on their Christmas Day. After that it is finally time to go home and chill for the night with T.V and films, of course accompanied by Christmassy snacks!!!

The fourth tradition we have is.....

4. Christmas Pyjamas

Me and my sister always receive new pyjamas off my mam for Christmas. Now I know that a lot of people get their pyjamas on Christmas Eve which I think is a lovely tradition to do so you can wake up in new pyjamas on Christmas morning, but this is something we have never done for some reason so we receive our Christmas pyjamas on Christmas Day like everything else.

And finally the fifth tradition we have is.....

5. Boxing Day Chill Day

Boxing Day is the day we pig out on the chocolates and sweets we have been given on Christmas Day and watch Christmas T.V and films, and play board games (usually new ones we have received that Christmas). However I would love to do the Boxing Day dip one year. This is where lots of people go down to the beach and run into the sea all at the same time to raise money for various charities. And no I don't live in a hot climate where the sea is nice and warm, I live in the UK and the North sea is freezing even on the one hotter day we get in the summer.

So there are my Christmas traditions. Let me know in the comments below some of you Christmas traditions and lets see if we have any similar ones.

I'm hoping to post again mid week this week and then a one next Sunday as normal as I've missed a couple of weeks so you can look forward to that and I'll speak to you all very soon!!!

Graduation

Image from Google

Hello Everyone!!!

A couple of weeks ago it was my graduation from University. I finished University at the beginning of June this year but the Graduation wasn't until November. I studied BA (Hons) Dance Practice for any of you that don't know. So today I thought that I would share with you some of the photos I got while there. Enjoy!!!

It was a really lovely day and the weather stayed nice for us which was a bonus. After the ceremony we all went back to where we began the day and had some buffet food and chilled with everyone.

Although I enjoyed University and I'm glad I did it, I definitely think I'm ready to move on with my life and make this chapter I've started even better. It was lovely to hear some encouraging words off people while I was at graduation and that has made me even more motivated to build myself a successful career somewhere in the dance industry.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and I will speak to you all next Sunday :)
