Dance Tag

So today, as I love to dance, I will be doing a Dance Tag. This is just something I have made up myself but feel free to use it if you like :)

(I do not have credit for this image)

1. At what age did you start dancing?

I was 4 when I started dancing and I've danced ever since :)

2. What was it that made you want to start dancing?

Bit of an odd inspiration, but I was watching Lala off the Teletubbies do ballet on one of the episodes and turned round to my mam and told her that I wanted to do that :p

3. What styles of dance have you learnt?

Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Street/Hip Hop and a little bit of Musical Theatre

4. What style of dance is your favourite?

Tap

5. What kind of places have you danced in?

Two dance schools (first dance teacher retired when I was 12).
Theatres
Disneyland
University

6. How many performances have you done?

This is a super difficult question!!! Why did I pick this?!?!? Well I think I have been in about 18 pantomimes, 5 dance shows at my dance school, and I have also done about 6 dance shows at University as well as doing a dance show and the parade in Disneyland when I was 11.

7. Is dance something you would consider a career choice for you?

Well as I am on my final year of University studying a dance degree I think the answer to this is yes :p I can't think of anything else I want to do (other than write a novel) :)

8. How often to you dance a week?

Considering I'm on a dance degree you would have thought I would dance a lot more than I actually do at the minute but as I'm on 3rd and final year, there is a lot more theory work than there is practical. On average I would say I dance around 3 times a week not including extra rehearsals.

9. Do you have a favourite dance quote and if so, what is it?

Dancing is like dreaming with your feet <3

10. How many professional dance performances have you been to see?

Again this is a really difficult question, why do I put myself through this!!! :p Well I've been to see 2 different versions of Swan Lake, I've seen Beauty and the Beast the Ballet, I've seen Matthew Bourne's version of the Nutcracker, I've seen Phoenix Dance Company perform twice I think, I've seen Batsheva, I've seen Candoco, I've seen a solo choreographed by Joss Arnott, I've seen Matthew Bourne's Lord of the Flies, I've seen Othello by Frantic Assembly and right now that's all I can remember, so going off this I have seen round about 11 professional performances I think but there are probably more.

So that is a little bit about my dance background. Hope you enjoyed reading about it and if you dance yourself then feel free to answer these questions :) Also if you have any further questions about my dance background or you want advice on anything dance related then write them in the comments below :)

Exciting Things in 2015

So for today's post I am going to share with you some of the fantastic things I am going to be getting up to in 2015!!!

(I do not have the credit for this image)

1. 16th March: McBusted Concert - Yes I am a huge fan of these boys :D

2. 22nd May: Milton Jones - Me and my sister are surprising my dad. We have bought ourselves and him tickets to see one of his favourite comedians!!! Can't wait to see his face when he finds out :)

3. 2nd June: My 21st - I don't actually know what I am going to be doing for my 21st yet but I'm sure whatever I do will be special :)

4. 5th June: Finishing Univeristy - I cannot wait for this day to come!!! Although I am going to try hand in my final essay on 29th May so I can be home for my 21st. Fingers crossed!!!

5. 10th June: 2 Year Anniversary - It is the 2 year anniversary of me and my boyfriend this year. Can't believe how fast the time has gone!!!

6. 1st July: LA - Me and my little sister decided last year to challenge ourselves and save up for a trip to LA. We have never been to America before so going on our own in going to be.....interesting!!!

7. September (Can't remember the actual date): Cousin's Wedding - This will actually be the first wedding to attend so I'm super excited for that!!!

8.  27th November: Michael McIntyre - Yes me, my little sister, and my boyfriend are going to see Michael McIntyre at the end of this year and I can't wait!!! I've wanted to see him for years and the time has finally arrived!!!

9.  Sometime in Novemeber (Don't know the exact date yet): Graduation - For some reason my University decides to put graduation in November when the weather is rubbish instead of in the summer after finishing Uni when the weather is...well...at least a bit warmer (British Weather -_-). But I am looking forward to this as it finalises my University experience. And it has been one heck of an experience!!!

So here are just some of the things I will be getting up to in 2015 which of course I will post about individually when they happen. But there are just a few other things that I hope to do in 2015 that I would like to share with you:

1. Find a job - Now this is a daunting task, but fortunately for me, I have already possibly bagged myself a job at a dance school near where a live. I will also have to find other jobs though as dance teaching can be pretty rubbish pay -_-

2. Get a car - I passed my driving test about a year and a half ago now but because of being a 'poor student', I have not managed to get myself a car. I can afford the car, just not the insurance. Why does it have to be so much!!!

3. Flat Hunt - Yes me and my boyfriend would like to do a bit of flat hunting this year. Realistically we won't be buying a flat this year, but hopefully in 2016 we will have our own little place :)

So this is all I can tell you for now about my 2015 plans, but hope you all have some fantastic things planned for 2015. Comment below and let me know what you will be getting up to. I'm sure we all have some pretty exciting things to share!!!

New Year's Resolutions

Hello you lovely people and Happy New Year!!! (I know it's a bit late but better late than never!!!)

(I do not have the credit to this image)

So this is my first Sunday blog.....exciting!!! And I would like to share with you my New Year's Resolutions for 2015 :) So let's get started!!!

Resolution Number 1.

Tone my tummy: As I am a dancer training to be in the dance industry, it would be nice to have a toned tummy. So this year to help me achieve this I am going to be doing at least 50 sit ups every day (as well as all of the other training I already do).

Resolution Number 2.

Drink more water: I definitely don't drink enough water so I really need to try to as I get dehydrated very easily. I did try drinking 2 litres a day last year but that only lasted a couple of months but I am motivated!!! I can do this!!!

Resolution Number 3.

Remember to take my tablets: Now this sounds like a silly one really, but I am so forgetful!!! I have to take 3 tablets a day 20 minutes before food but I very rarely remember then complain of a sore tummy. This is definitely something that needs to be addressed!!!

So there are my New Year's Resolutions for 2015!!! Feel free to share your New Year's Resolutions in the comments below. You might inspire others for their New Year's Resolutions!!!
